Becoming who I am (salvation in transition)

It’s funny how Christians view salvation. Many believe that it is the insurance one needs in order to avoid hell. A sort of fire insurance. However, as I read scripture I see salvation as something more, something greater. It is the start of a wonderful journey. A beginning place in which contains copious learning and growth. I see Paul allude to it when he says,”…not that I’ve already attained but I press on”. Salvation is the Christian walk. It is the transition of old things passing away because all is becoming new. So in my salvation I can say I’m not what I used to be but I’m becoming who I am. So my life is poetry in motion and my salvation is salvation in transition, conforming into the image of Christ.
